“Can I call Holland?”
“It’s 2:47am in California, no.”
“Can I play Switch on the internet with Cam?”

Ok, jokes aside, the kids have been amazing. It cannot be easy waking up one day in a country where everything looks different, culture is different, people drive on the wrong side of the road, and to boot they drive scooters! We could tell it has been a lot for them so we needed to find some familiar family fun that felt like home. Off to the zoo, waterpark and mini-golf.
The Bali Zoo is a beautiful landscape. Tigers, monkeys, apes, meerkat’s and most importantly………ELEPHANTS! We signed up for the Mud Elephant Fun experience it was a magical morning. Meet our 31 year old female friend, Tongkun

We had so much fun rubbing Tongkun down with mud too cool her off, giving her a shower (like an eplephant car wash), splashing her, then letting her splash us. During every experience she ate, ate, ate and ate some more.
Next up was mini golf. Jack has been asking to play mini golf for 2 months so we had to hunt one down in Bali. We did, about 20 minutes up the road from our house. It was tucked in a lil’ jungle off the side of the road. To our surprise, we even got to pet the local Lewak who was just lounging around!

Lastly, was the local water park. We spent a few hours at the local water park. What 10 and 7 year old don’t have blast there. Neither of us took a photo, so here is a stock shot poached from the internet if you’re curious ;).

Like all parents we want to pull our hair out from time to time when answering the same 7 questions over and over again. Hey, nothing like a good week of family fun to get the smiles flowing again.
